Renovation Chassé Theater Breda

The medium auditorium of the Chassé Theater will have a renovation of the stage machinery in the summer of 2015. The current installation is out-dated and does not meet the requirements like they are set today for automated stage lifting equipment. With the renovation of the stage machinery also the bad accessible grid floor will change into a clean working floor.

Although the design is still in development, the thought is to turn the rafters and to win lifting height. There is also an option to renew the orchestra room and do not store it in the fly tower anymore. With the removal of the orchestra room and moving the side bridges to the side, the fly bars can be extended. With this change masking will be much easier. In addition the complete control system will be replaced.

With the renovated stage lifting equipment and the adjustments to the fly bars of the auditorium, the theatre will not only meets the current requirements in terms of functionality, usability and security, but also offers the potential to improve the intimacy between performers and audience for some type of performances.

For the design and specifications, tendering and execution support of the renovation, the Chassé Theater of Breda selected Theateradvies as their theatre consultant.
