Schouwburg Tilburg, the Netherlands, renovates the stage machinery

Schouwburg Tilburg, in the Netherlands, is ready for a major renovation of the stage machinery. The current installation is outdated and does not meet BS EN 61508 SIL 3 and The machine guideline. In addition, the current grid floor is bad accessible. 

After the renovation there will be an entire new control system and the installation will be provided with two brakes.

Because of a different attachment of the steel cables to the fly bars, the hoisting height will be increased with approximately 0.5 m.

With a renovated stage machinery the theatre will soon return to the current standards of functionality, usability and safety.

For the specifications, tendering and execution support of the renovation, the city of Tilburg selected Theateradvies as their theatre consultant.
