Louis Janssen re-elected as president of OISTAT

On September 11, the World Congress of the international theater organization OISTAT (Organisation Internationale des Scénographes, Techniciens et Architectes de Théâtre) took place in Cardiff. During the conference, Louis Janssen was re-elected as President for the next four years.

Louis is owner of Theateradvies bv, an international theatre consultancy firm based in Amsterdam. Theateradvies is involved in the construction and renovation of dozens of theatres in the Netherlands and works internationally for performing art spaces, including theatres in Kaohsiung (Taiwan), Bogotá (Colombia) and Birmingham (England).

OISTAT has members in more than 35 countries around the world. The mission of OISTAT is to exchange knowledge and experience in the field of stage technology, theater history, theater publications, theater education, theater architecture, decor, costume, lighting and sound design.

During the World Congress a new board was elected; Aby Cohen (Brazil), Miljana Zeković (Serbia), Michael Ramsaur (USA), Duncan Chang (Taiwan), Sean Crowley (England), Marina Raytchinova (Bulgaria), Bert Determann (Netherlands ).
