International Architecture Award 2011 for Schouwburg Amphion in Doetinchem!

Schouwburg Amphion in Doetinchem, from Mecanoo architecten, have been awarded with the prestigious International Architecture Award 2011 by The Chicago Athenaeum Europe.

This year, the jury selected 90 winning projects out of 1,000 projects for new buildings, landscape architecture and urban planning from the most important firms practicing globally.

Chicago Athenaeum, together with the European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies, will present a special exhibition of all awarded buildings at the 13th International Architecture Biennial in Buenos Aires. After Argentina, the exhibition will travel inside Europe.
